((You don't have to accept it. It was Gels choice to have this ritual done. ((From Tre : ((I want to understand, I want to actually be ok with this IC and OOC, but right now I a not. The only thing I can see now is Es getting all her frustration and anger about everting that happened lately and throw it all at Gel.

((Other than what I read, I have no clue what is going on IC. And If Makora was still alive you could have thrown all your anger at him. He's used to people doing that.

G'eldriia was alone in her preparation room on her stomach still in thought, when a knock came to her door."Come in."she answered. The Celebrant who had been looking after her entered with Tregard behind him."Tre..."G'eldriia tried to turn some as Tregarde entered the chamber and looked at G'eldriia all bandaged up."Gel, are you OK?" she said with concern looking down at her back. "Yes Tre I am fine..."her words trailed off as she thought of what to say. The Celebrant took a seat by the door and watched the exchange between the two. Tregarde took a seat next to G'eldriia and placed a hand on hers,"Gel, what is going on. G'eldriia was quiet for a moment then spoke,"Tre, I am partaking in the Jous d'Ssran.." Tregarde thought for a moment,"The Show of Worth...ok I don't know what this rite involves though." G'eldriia took a breath then explained. "This is an old rite performed for certain warriors deemed worthy, it's a spiritual matter where one proves the depth of faith you have in Shillen." "OK, but why didn't you tell me and...", she shows the picture she got from Czenzi to G'eldriia,"...and what dose it have to do with this?" G'eldriia took the picture and looked at it for a few moments,"Where did she get this..." "She can draw the future Gel..."she let the words carry her concern. G'eldriia sighed and handed the picture back quiet for a few more moments. "In this rite, I have to prove my worth and utter devotion by standing be for Shillen herself...she will judge me, and if she finds favor with me she will either send me back, or keep me at her side." Both the women remained quiet for some time, then the Celebrant spoke,"Lady Tregarde this is an old rite, though it has not been condemned my our leaders...it has been stopped and not many of the current younger generations know of it much." he sighs and looks at G'eldriia,"I only agreed to allow this because I knew her father....mad as he was he was almost a friend to me, which is where I fear she learned of it." "But, I feel I must tell you why it was decided not to make this rite well known of anymore, as you know any Celebrant or priest can raise people from the dead...but this rite greatly lowers that chance." he shrugs,"We just lost too many warriors that way." G'eldriia finally speaks again,"Tre...I do need someone there as witness to the events and to help with other things, and I would like it if you were that person."she remained quiet waiting for Tregardes answer. The Celebrant then stood and handed Tregarde a small jar of a solve,"Here, since you are here you can apply this to her." and with that he left the room.
Still in thought Tregarde motioned for G'eldriia to stand. She carefully slid off the bed and stood with her back to Tregarde and removed her bandages. Tregarde was quiet for a moment just looking at her back. On her back was the back of a dragon, put there using a technique similar to scarification. It starts with the dragons hind feet on each side of her bottom and it stands up along her back with its neck going over her left shoulder. G'eldriia turns around to show the dragons head resting just above her left breast and its front claws coming around to rest on her ribs just under each breast. "By Shillen Gel...that is beautiful..."her words trail off. G'eldriia smiles "thank you Tre." then she turns back around and lets Tregarde apply the ointment. "Tre...this is something I have to do, I have always know I had to do this...I think thats why I ran away from being a knight awhile back." Tregarde remained quiet listening and putting the ointment on her back. "I have heard stories about this from my father since I was a small girl Tre, my extreme faith in Shillen derives from my family and I can't deny this part of me." she turns around to let Tregarde attend to the front. "if you don't want to do this I will understand.." Tregarde looked into G'eldriias eyes and her own eyes began to water some,"No Mirshaan, I will not let you do this without me..", she takes G'eldriias hand. "I will be here for you if you feel this strongly about it." The two smiled at each other,"thank you Tre...I'll explain what it is I need you to do..."

The both of them slept there that night, and in the morning Tre helped with Gels meals and grooming while she was in prayer and meditation. This continued all day until night fall. G'eldriia had finished her bath and her and Tre were drying off, she then went to her red robes she was to wear in the ceremony. "Tre, there is something I want to ask you...do you have a dagger with you?" Tregarde nodded,"Yes, but its just a plain one nothing fancy about it." G'eldriia pulled the robes over her and turned to face Tregarde. "I was wondering if..if I could use it in the cerimony.." Tregarde was quiet for a moment,"Gel, that knife was used to end the suffering on my uncle..I-I don't think I can use it for this.." "It's OK Tre it doesn't have to be yours, I'll use my own then." Tregarde took G'eldriias hand and took a breath,"It's OK Mirshaan, how could I refuse so simple a request...you can use it if you want." The two smiled at one another then G'eldriia got serious.:It's time Tre..." she turned and leaded the way to the main chamber.
They entered the main hall and stood by the door. A female Celebrant stood by the door and motioned for them to enter and bow at the alter. No details could be seen of her face due to the cowl she wore, just her purple lips. Welcome G'eldriia Auvrytyl you have come this evening for the Jous d'Ssran...are you prepared? G'eldriia stood and answered,"I am Celebrant." then bowed to her. The Celebrant motioned for her to sit on the alter the turned to Tregarde. "Do you have the instrument of sending?" Tregarde stood and handed her dagger over,"Here it is." she said and also bowed to the Celebrant then knelled back by the alter. She placed the dagger on the alter and began sprinkling some powder on it and chanting. After several minuets of prayer and chanting she placed it in G'eldriias hands and motioned for her to turn and place her legs on the alter.
G'eldriia turned and placed the dagger over her heart and spoke,"I G'eldriia Auvrytyl do here by offer my self to be judged by my Goddess...I offer my soul...I offer my show of faith...I offer my show of love..." she glances over at Tregarde and smiles. "I offer myself to be deemed worthy of Shillen, that I might do her will and bring her pleasure.."with this she plunges the dagger into her heart..she remains still for several seconds then falls back on the alter, her breathing slowing fast. Tregardes eyes water but she composes herself and remains there. The Celebrant peers into G'eldriias eyes and watches the light fade.
The Celebrant then grinned somewhat and turned to Tregarde,"It is now on you..you are the one who must petition Shillen for her return, but we must be quick or the spell of resurrection will not work." she motions for Tregarde to approach the alter. "I will time my spell to go off right when you are done making your request to Shillen, then pull the knife out and I will finish the spell." Tregarde could feel the womans eyes boring into her. "This was G'eldiias final test, her choice in you will determine everything..." she then steps back to give Tregarde room.

The past day had been one of the most significant of her life. When she had arrived at the Temple and was shown to G’eldriia, she was surprised to see the knight sill alive. Till that moment Tregarde had thought Czenzi only drawn events that had already happened, now she knew that the young lady could see things that are yet to come. She listened as Gel and the Celebrant explained what was happening. She wished Gel would not go through with it, but knew it would be pointless to try and pursuade her otherwise. When the need for a Ptaru’nga – a word that meant supporter, companion, attendant – arose, she accepted the position without hesitation. Gel needed her, and she cared too much to not be there for her, and she would not leave when this could very well be her last hours in this world. After applying the ointment to help the scars heal and ease the pain, she laid down with Gel and carefully held her through the night.
In the morning, before Gel rose, Tre wrote a letter to Kirsa and Jessla explaining where she was and why. Soon afterwards the rites began. The Celebrant guided them through various rituals to help bring G’eldriia into the proper state of mind, and to show their devotion to the goddess. Tregarde performed all the duties required of a Ptaru’nga, which were mostly simple menial tasks - bringing a cup of wine, lighting incense or candles, assisting Gel in or out of a robe - so that Gel and the Celebrant could concentrate. Eventually the time came for the final ceremony. Tregarde stood by G’eldriia’s side, their hair still wet from the bath that represented as much of a cleansing of the spirit as of the body, the Temple had been cleared so that the only other person was a Celebrant, her face hidden by a hood. Outside, the moon was almost at it’s zenith.
Tregarde did her best to keep in control of her emotions as G’eldriia approached the altar. She watched as Gel brought the dagger to her breast, the same dagger Tregarde had used to grant her uncle the Gift of Compassion. She prayed that compassion would once again be with the dagger, and not just death. She flinched slightly as Gel thrust the blade into herself, a tear rolled down her cheek. Then the Celebrant explained that G’eldriia’s return depended as much on the Ptaru’nga, as on Shilen herself, for the Ptaru’nga had to petition the goddess – to prove to the goddess that it was worth it to the Ptaru’nga for the one to be returned.
Tregarde approached G’eldriia. She looked down upon the peaceful body and paused, she had no idea what to say, no mention of this part of the ceremony was mentioned till just then. She now understood why the ritual was said to work best if the Ptaru’nga cared for the one on the altar. She closed her eyes, knowing the words the Ptaru’nga chose had to come from the heart, not form some rehersed speech. She cleared her mind, reached inside herself – G’eldriia mattered so much to her, only Kirisa and Jessla mattered more - opened her eyes and let the words flow out.
"Great Mother Shilen,” The Celebrant began a chant that would continue as she spoke, “I, Tregarde S’Lingne, beseech you. Your daughter comes to you for guidance. She has shown her devotion to you with her heart. She has shown her loyalty to you with her life. And now she shows her dedication to you with her soul."
"She leaves behind a job unfinished, a purpose unfulfilled, a destiny yet to be realized. With her sword she has struck down your enemies. With her shield she has defended those loyal to you. With her spirit she has given strength to those who need it. She also leaves behind those who care about her, those who have been there for her, those who love her."
"Your daughter is worthy of being returned. She is worthy of fulfilling your purpose on this world. She is worthy of once again being among those who need her." Tregarde gripped the dagger firmly as she leaned down to kiss Gel gently on the lips. "Great Mother, return your daughter, so that she may live the life she was meant for." She then whispered so quietly only Shilen could hear, “Return this one I love so dearly.” She straightened up and pulled the dagger out.
The Celebrant cast the spell of Resurrection, releasing it in a blinding flash. Before the light began to fade Gel half jerked and began to gasp for air. The Celebrant looked down, surprise in her voice as she said, "... Shilen be praised..."
Tregarde set the dagger down and leaned over Gel, whispering her name. Gel's breathing settled down. Her eyes opened and she looked up. She smiled weakly, "... Tre...".
Tregarde brushed aside a stay strand of hair on Gel’s face as she smiled faintly. "You did it."
Gel looked at her in the eyes. "No, Tre... you did it."
Tregarde chuckled silently for a second. "Alright... -we- did it."
Gel smiled and slowly started to get up. Tregarde slipped an arm behind her and helped her. The Celebrant spoke, “This day is blessed in Her name. You have chosen you Ptaru’nga well, G’eldriia Auvrytyl. Thanks to her, you have been reborn as a Trelao Sargtilin (Divine Warrior).” A smile crossed the Celebrant’s lips. She bowed slightly then silently left the two.
Tregarde helped G’eldriia sit, then stand. The one eyed lady was weak from her ordeal. They said very little to each other as they made the way back to the room they had occupied, there was little that needed to be said. In the morning Tregarde would bring a meal, help G’eldriia prepare for the day ahead, and they would leave the Temple, the ceremony over. The only regret Tregarde had was that she was not allowed to talk of it once they left those walls. She wanted to tell Kirisa and Jessla all about it. But the two nights and a day were sacred, and she would respect that.
[[ a quick note – Tre did not bring the picture Czenzi had drawn. Otherwise, while some of the words aren’t exactly how Tre said them, they get the idea across. I’m sure you could make a few corrections to what I wrote. Maybe later we can go over the posts and edit them (yeah, I can be a little picky about details, but it really won’t bother me if things stay as they are). ]]

The pain...
Blades cutting her skin, marking her...
The pain.... the horrible pain...
Some relief....
A familiar friendly face....
Then a dagger in her hand....
The feeling of the dagger piercing her heart...
---------------------
"GEL!!!!!!!!"
Esmera woke up, all wet from her swet, screaming the name of her friend. She just add time to get to the bathroom before she threw up, disgusted at the horror she was feeling from the dream.
"This....this wasn't a normal dream..what does it mean?"
Es was scared now, scared that something had happened. But she needed more details, so difficulty, she tried to remember as hard as she could..
"The statue...the temple"
She got dressed and went to see the Guild Master in Heine, if it was a Dark Elven Ritual, surely he would know about it.
"Vendui' young one, how may I help you?"
"I need some information about a ritual master"
As Esmera explained her dream, the master started to shrug.
"I'm sorry young one, there is nothing I can say to you about this"
"Would a generous contribution help you change your mind?"
Esmera got a full bag of money from a pocket and gave it to the master, which quickly hidded it under his robes.
"Well there is a ritual like the one you described, it's called Jous d' Ssran.."
As the Master explain the ritual and what it was for, Esmera's skin started to get paler and her body started to shake.
"Are you ok young one, you seem sick"
"No, I'm ok, thank you for your help"
As she finished her sentence, Esmera started running to the closet water point then trew up again. It couldn't just be a dream, she knew she couldn't have imaginated something like that. Tears flowing from her eyes.
Gel....why would you do something like that?......
((First I did not make my part in this story happily, but seeing that Es and Gel are close, I just can't just let it go like I did to Jess and Kea's stories. I needed to find a way for Es to know really well what happened, so she could react the way I wanted her to. I won't lie, I hate this story and never want to read it again, one time was already to much, but now I need to do something about it, I need Es to be mad at Gel. I am not mad at you the player Gel, not anymore at least, but I have some, lets say, left over frustrations that have to be played out until I can actually "accept" this.
((Right now I know I can't go back to play the happy sisters thing because of what I know OOC, maybe it's wrong for a RPer to do that, but I never said that I was a good one. So that's pretty it right now, I am not really "mad" at this story anymore but I still wish I had never read it, it got me really to depressed.
