This is something I've been meaning to ask about for ages, ever since I first read about them. From: www.lineage2.com/background/legends02.htmlA race that can fly *Eyes light up* Any of you more experienced players know anything more about them? Are they in the game (I've seen pics of creatures with wings, so I figured that might be them)? And this might be a stupid question, but why were they not made a playable race? That would just be the most awesome thing ever...

Only thing in game that seems to reflect the winged race is a weird monument in top of a very high mountain. The place is quite nice looking as well. You see a small, round snow topped mountain on map near enchanted valley, just a bit north of it I think. This mountain has a pathway surrounding it by which you can go to top of it. That is also the place where the raidboss "Roaring Skylancer" roams.
The monument is weird, partly looking as if it was Giants architechture and design. But it is more... fine and nimble to really be giants work. Remain of the winged race that once roamed aden is what I have always viewed it as.

Funny though, that instead of the cryptic runes of Giants, or of the sometimes heiroglyphic marks of Humans, Elves, Orcs and the like, on it is written letters of English. Intitials, I thought, but it may be that this race you have found writes in English.

::Grins:: you might find some indication about the real origin of those elusive letters if you check some initials from game design team Still, the design does not fit any of the other races mentioned in the lore, thus I believe that this represents that one. Like many other monuments of history, it has little significance to people nowdays. It is mostly a spot where spawn campers of the raidboss hang around, and what some people use for... intimate cyber entertainment. Some things in game represent real world quite closely ^^

I think it would be kind of cool if they atleast had a sort of village for the flying people. Atleast so we could see them. and get to know more about them and thier god.

That one monument is the only thing that I have seen so far that might have something to do with them. My knowledge of the new areas and what they have is kind of pathetic though. I do know wall of argos really well, and the ketra outpost, but those two are only new areas that I have really visited.
Heh, never been on hot springs or all those other places yet, and been at the forest of the dead once... I will try and prowl around the new areas more to see if there is anything that could be related to that race.
