Language Policy:
This covers language in public, Clan or Alliance chats. Netspeak or ‘leetspeak’ is something that is not permitted. The reason for this is to provide a roleplay friendly atmosphere. However, all the standard emotes are acceptable. Things such as ‘lol,’ ‘brb,’ ‘afk,’ smileys and all the various emotes are welcome. In addition to that, excessive profanity is also not accepted. Obviously mild language such as ‘damn it,’ or ‘oh to hell with it’ are not going to raise anyone’s eyebrows, but please keep it mild. It is common to see flirtatious behaviour, there is a line however and excessively graphic sexuality is unacceptable.
Such language and content over a Party chat is acceptable only so long as each person in the party is comfortable with it. If even one person feels uncomfortable, then please respect their feelings and either take it into private Instant Messager, start a new Party, or wait till the person(s) leave before continuing if making a new Party is not practical.
In addition, trash talk, profanity or other objectionable behaviour is not acceptable in public channels as it is not the image of the clan we wish to project.
Tradeskill Policy:
Within the guild we make it a general rule not to profit off each other. This means that while it is perfectly fine to ask someone to reimburse the cost of materials on items, it is not acceptable to try to make money by charging additionally.
Activity Policy:
There are no requirements on how you choose to spend your time, or what you choose to participate in. We are a roleplaying clan and as such it is encouraged that you spend at least some time with the clan. However, we reserve the right to remove someone that has been inactive for a considerable amount of time without an explanation of absence. If you are planning to go away for a while a simple message to an officer or a post on the message board telling you will be away will ensure that you will not be removed. If a situation arises where something unexpected comes up and you are removed, it is not a big deal. Simply contact someone about it when you get back and you will be readmitted.
Public Relations Policy:
As a member of the clan what you do reflects on all the other members. So please act in a courteous way at all times in public channels, and in groups. Objectionable behaviour such as kill stealing, arguing in public channels, griefing, PKing, and other such actions are not tolerated. Use of PVP as a means of "revenge" or "justice" (such as dealing with a greifer) will be handled on a case by case basis. As shown in an incident in the past, this kind of action can lead to serious trouble with very powerful alliances.
We are a neutral clan, thus we must follow all rules to avoid being considered "assisting" warring alliances. Clan members are expected to stay out of political matters, or other situations that may void neutrality.
This is quite possibly the most important point, as it affects everyone in the Clan's and Alliance's reputation on the server. Clan members who's actions reflect poorly on the clan, or otherwise engage in objectionable behaviour may be reprimanded or dismissed in severe cases.
